Pupil Premium

In Bream C of E Primary School, we believe that all children can be the best that they can be and flourish in God’s love. The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding that enables the school to address any underlying inequalities between children eligible by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.

How to apply

In order for the school to receive the Pupil Premium Grant, to support your child, you will need to apply for free school meals.

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190.)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more that £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods.)

If you are eligible, it is important to apply even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 as although they all receive free school meals, this does not provide the additional Pupil Premium Grant.
