Beech Class

Hello and welcome to Beech class. My name is Mr. Hayward and I am the Year 2 class teacher. I also lead Computing and Geography across the school. I have been teaching now for 5 years and I am excited about providing high-quality teaching and learning to all. My primary aim as a class teacher is to provide a safe, engaging learning environment where all learners can flourish, aim towards independence and be the best that they can be. In my free time, I enjoy painting, gaming, exercising and walking my springer spaniel called Arla. 

Supporting the class this year is the fantastic Miss Stock who is one of our 1:1 Teaching Assistants. Our topic for the Autumn term is 'Fire,Fire' and we will be learning about the Great Fire of London and how it brought about a change to London. This year, we have plenty of exciting events to look forward to, including a visit from the Wilson Museum to work with our children and learn all about Edward Wilson, a famous arctic explorer.
